Itinerary

Al Hamra Heritage Village:
Visit the ancient village and Bait Al Safa living history museum where locals demonstrate old Omani traditions in a restored 400-year-old mud-brick house. You will be encouraged to take a photo dressed in national costumes.

Misfat Al Abrieen:
A walk in a picturesque old mountain oasis with banana groves and garden terraces. It is possible to find famous Omani mountain honey here in one of the local shops.

Al Hoota Cave:
Take a ride on an electric train into the depths of the stunning cave to explore 2 million-year-old stalactite and stalagmite formations and admire this natural wonder in complete silence. It is 5km long and hosts a unique ecosystem with a number of lakes where endemic Bu Naseh blind fish swim. There is also a geological exhibition showcasing a variety of rocks and corals in the Visitors Center.

Jebel Shams:
Mountain of the Sun is part of Hajar Mountain range and at 2,997 meters is the highest point of Oman. Go on a short and easy hike to admire Wadi Ghul’s unforgettable views of the Grand Canyon of Arabia.
