  • Day 1 | Saturday 24 May 2025 | Arrival at Cusco

    Upon arrival at Lima’s airport, clear customs and check in for your domestic flight to Cusco. Upon arriving in Cusco, our team will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. To help acclimate to the altitude, we recommend drinking traditional Coca tea. After checking in, our team will provide a city map and valuable information, including restaurant recommendations, currency exchange offices, and shopping tips.

    Important Note: Cusco is situated at 3,399 meters above sea level. It is crucial to take a few hours to acclimatize before exploring the beautiful Historic Center of Cusco.

    Evening Activity: We recommend visiting the “Qosqo Center of Native Arts” for a cultural evening with traditional Andean music and dance performances from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrive 45 minutes early, tickets are included in your package.

  • Day 2 | Sunday 25 May 2025 | Cusco – Archaeological City Tour

    Start the day with breakfast at your hotel.

    Morning Activity (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.): Explore Cusco’s historic center with our local guide, an exclusive tour designed for you.

    Afternoon Activity: Embark on the Archaeological City Tour. Our first stop is the majestic Cusco Cathedral, renowned for its Baroque style and contributions from famed artists like the Italian sculptor Bernardo Bitti. Next, we’ll visit “Qoricancha” (Temple of the Sun), the primary worship center for the Sun God during the Inca era.

    The tour continues with four archaeological sites around Cusco:
    Sacsayhuamán: Known for its enormous carved stones and the “Inti Raymi” (Festival of the Sun).
    Qenqo: An ancient temple with mysterious carvings.
    Puka Pukara: An Inca military site.
    Tambomachay: Famous for its water channels and fountains, also called the “Inca shower.”

    Our return to Cusco is scheduled for approximately 6:00 p.m. You have the option to be dropped off at your hotel or the city’s main square. The evening is free for you to explore Cusco’s wide array of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs at your leisure.

  • Day 3 | Monday 26 May 2025 | Sacred Valley & Aguas Calientes

    After breakfast, we depart for the Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting with a stop at the Taray viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views. Our guided tour continues at the Pisac Archaeological Center, where you’ll see the terraced landscapes used by the Incas for agriculture.

    Afterward, enjoy some free time at the Pisac Handicraft Market to interact with local artisans and shop for souvenirs.

    Lunch: Served in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley.

    Following lunch, we head to Ollantaytambo, a village showcasing exceptional Inca architecture, where you’ll walk through ancient streets and learn about its military and religious significance.

    From Ollantaytambo station, board the train to Aguas Calientes, where our team will assist with your hotel check-in. This charming village offers a variety of restaurants, craft shops, and hotels amidst jungle mountains.

  • Day 4 | Tuesday 27 May 2025 | Machu Picchu

    This is the day you’ve been waiting for—explore the iconic Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

    Our team will accompany you from the hotel to the bus for a scenic ride to the Inca Citadel. A professional guide will share fascinating stories and secrets of Inca culture.

    After the tour, enjoy free time to wander, meditate, or soak in the spiritual atmosphere.

  • Day 5 | Wednesday 28 May 2025 | Rainbow Mountain Trek

    Prepare for an early morning adventure as we journey through the Southern Valley to the stunning Rainbow Mountain, standing at 5,200 meters above sea level.

    The trek to the summit typically takes up to 2 hours, depending on your pace and physical condition. You can also choose to rent a horse (not included), but note that the final 15 minutes must be walked. Once at the top, you’ll have an hour to take in this natural spectacle.

  • Day 6 | Thursday 29 May 2025 | Departure from Cusco & Arrival in Lima

    After breakfast, our team will escort you to the airport two hours before your flight to Lima.

    Upon arrival in Lima, our team will assist with your hotel check-in and provide a detailed overview of activities, restaurants, shops, and more in the area. Take some time to relax before experiencing the lively neighbourhoods and world-famous Peruvian cuisine.

Yes, triple occupancy is available. Please contact us for pricing as this may vary based on age.

Will there be someone waiting for us at the airport?
Absolutely! The tour includes transfers and our local operators will be  present. 


Payments

How much deposit is required and when?

Deposit amount of 50% is required upon reservation. If the departure date is within 75 days of booking then full amount is required when booking.

When is balance due?

The balance is due at least 75 calendar days prior to the departure date which is March 9th, 2025.

What Currency is Used in Peru?

Nuevo Soles is the local currency in Peru, banknotes come in denominations of 200, 100, 50, 20, and 10. Whilst coins come in 5, 2, 1, 0.50, 0.20, and 0,10 units.

Are tips included?
In Peru, prices typically include taxes, but tipping is appreciated and highly encouraged. We recommend tipping your tour guide $5 to $8 USD per person per day and $2 to $5 USD per person per day for your driver, depending on the length of the tour (half or full day). Tipping hotel and restaurant staff is also at your discretion.

Can I use my credit/debit card for payment?

Yes! However, an additional 3.75% processing fee will be charged. There are few bookings like airline tickets for which we might work with you to take partial payment so this 3.75% doesn’t apply to the entire amount. Contact us for further details.

Is there any other form of payment?

Yes! There are ways we can work with you including cheque payments/e-transfer/wire transfer etc. Terms and conditions do apply. Please contact us for further information.


Entry Visas

If I need one, who is responsible to obtain my visa?

You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary, including having a passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the date of departure and a visa if required. Please check the appropriate official page for Peru Ministry of Foreign Affairs or contact us for any further information.

Please note: Passengers who are not U.S. or Canadian citizens must check with the respective consulate or a visa agency to determine what personal identification is required. Passengers who enter, leave and then re-enter the same country on their itinerary should check if they require a double-entry visa.

How do I obtain a visa, If I need one?

A visa may be obtained by using a visa service or by contacting the embassy or consulate of the nation you are visiting prior to departing from your home country.

How much does a visa cost?

There will be different costs that will be specific per embassy/consulate and whether you have used a visa service or not. These costs often change with little notice. We recommend that you contact the appropriate embassy or consulate directly for the most up to date information.

What are optional sightseeing tours?

Optional tours are offered to travelers interested in additional experiences, sightseeing, meals or activities to supplement the included components of our tours. You may choose to participate in some, all or none of the optional tours which are priced individually. When can I add optional tours?

Optional tours are dependent on availability and we highly recommend these are purchased at the time of booking..

Can I purchase optional tours locally?

Not recommended. There is always a chance there is no availability or the wait times to obtain entry ticket is longer in which case we do not want to delay the tours which is inconvenience to all the other passengers.

Can I add optional tours for only select individuals on my reservation?

What are the Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountains?

Those are the surrounding mountains to the Inca Citadel. Huayna Picchu is located at 2,720 meters above sea level and offers an outstanding view to the archaeological site as well as several Inca ruins along the trail.

The Machu Picchu Mountain is located at 3,082 meters above sea level, and serves as another viewpoint to the famous historical sanctuary. However, the trek to its summit is significantly less challenging than the Huayna Picchu mountain.

To trek either of these mounts, you must purchase an additional entrance ticket well in advance. For more information, please contact your travel agent.


Travel Insurance & Coverage

What coverage does Travel Insurance provide?

We provide Manulife travel insurance at extra cost. We do have trip cancellation/trip interruption and travel medical insurance. Please reach out for quotes

When can I purchase Travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance is best to be bought at the time of booking.

When is Travel Insurance active?

Travel Protection coverages will take effect on the later of 1) the date the plan payment has been received by the Policyholder; 2) the date and time you start your Covered Trip; or 3) 12:01 A.M. Standard Time on the Scheduled Departure Date of your Covered Trip.

I need to cancel my trip and have not purchased insurance, what do I do?

Penalties for cancellation will depend on the tour you have purchased and how close to departure you are at the time of cancellation. Most of our tours are completely non-refundable but we ask you to contact us.

What happens if flights get canceled or changed by airlines?

Unfortunately, these are outside Yearning Travels control and if this happens the itinerary might have to be changed accordingly. This may even result in loss of time allocated or canceling of the day tour and no refund shall be provided. If delay in international flight causes misconnection to domestic flights, Yearning Travels will work to its best of capabilities to get domestic flights changed but any cost incurred will have to be borne by customers. This would be one of many reasons Yearning Travels highly recommends purchasing travel insurance covering trip cancellation and interruption. Please reach out for a quote (if needed).

International And Domestic Flights

Why is it important that I give my name as it appears on my passport when booking a tour? 

Due to increased travel security and policies around the world, it is now a requirement that your airline ticket matches your first and last name exactly as it reads on your passport. Please note that any changes to the details of your air booking, could be subject to a change fee, penalties or cancellation.

Can I reserve a seat assignment?

For our packages that include flights, we do not usually assign seats. In most cases, you can request specific seats, but this may incur a small fee payable to the airline. For more information, contact us.

Once confirmed, are airline seats always guaranteed?

In most cases, seat assignments are firm. However, airlines may sometimes reassign seats for operational reasons. This often happens at the last moment and is controlled by airline staff, with Indus Travel not being notified. Passengers are encouraged to reconfirm their seat assignments and any other special requests directly with their airline prior to departure.

Should I check-in online?

It is always recommended and more convenient to check in online. It will shorten your waiting time at the airport, secure your seat assignments and other reservations.

Can I request a special meal on the flight?

Requests may be made for special meals. These requests can be sent on your behalf to the airline. The availability of special meals will be based upon the specific airlines and will be at their discretion.

Can I use my frequent flier miles?

Accrued frequent flier miles cannot be used toward the purchase of tickets through the Travel Agency.

What is baggage allowance for the trip?

Airlines have varying weight restrictions on baggage. Please be advised that you are responsible for any baggage outside the limits mentioned per contracted flights

Airport Procedures

What is required when I check-in?

Ticketed passengers must show correct identification at check-in. Children must have a parent present at check-in and all tickets must be in each passenger’s name.

What is required with International travel?

An international trip may require valid travel documents such as passport, visa, re-entry permit, health certificate, inoculation record, a ticket for the return journey or continuance of your trip, or ANY combination thereof. Passengers are responsible for the proper documentation. Concerns about the required travel documents may be resolved by contacting the appropriate consulate or embassy.


Other Useful Information

  • Currency: The local currency is the Nuevo Sol (PEN).
  • Language: Spanish is the primary language, with Quechua also widely spoken.
  • Vaccinations: Ensure your routine vaccinations are up to date. It is recommended to check with a travel clinic regarding vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and yellow fever, among others.

Passport information is required at the time of booking to secure airline tickets, entrances to Machu Picchu,  and to book trains.
  • Taxes: Airline government fees, fuel surcharges and taxes are included in the air inclusive rate. Additional fees may be implemented at any time or taxes and or fuel surcharges can increase at any time which are outside our control. We reserve the right to collect any such increases in government fees and taxes in effect at the time of departure.
  • Special Note: Travel dates may be during religious, state or local holidays. These holidays, with their associated closures, may disrupt attraction visits and personal shopping. We make every effort to minimize disruptions during the tour, however, we cannot be held responsible for attractions being closed.
  • All tours require a certain amount of walking daily while participating on city tours, special site visits and excursions. The applicant registering for any tour certifies that this can be done without any hardship and that he/she does not have any medical condition or disability that could create a hazard, inconvenience or delays to other tour participants. It must also be understood that the health care standards, facilities and services provided may be different or inadequate for treatment of certain health conditions. Furthermore, no representation or warranties will be made regarding special accommodation or handicap accessibility on any program. We reserve the right to accept or decline any applicant who’s health or actions impede the operation, welfare or enjoyment of the trip for our fellow travelers.
  • This program is strictly limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Early booking is strongly recommended to ensure tour availability. In the unlikely event that we do not reach our minimum number of bookings, the tour could be canceled, and monies refunded in full prior to the final payment date.
  • Client Responsibility: Clients agree to accept the authority and decisions of Yearning Travels Inc employees, tour leaders and agents whilst on tour. If the opinion of any such person (s) or any other person in a position of authority (such as, for example, an airline pilot or hotel manager), the health, level of fitness or conduct of a client at any time before or during a tour is endangering or appears likely to endanger the health or wellbeing of the client or any third party (including any other clients of Yearning Travels Inc or the safe, comfortable or happy progress of the tour, the client may be excluded from all or part of the tour without refund or recompense. Where a client is excluded, Yearning Travels Inc will have no further responsibility towards them (including any return travel arrangements) and we will not meet any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the exclusion. In the case of ill health, Yearning Travels Inc may make such arrangements as it sees fit and recover the costs thereof from the client. If a client commits an illegal act (including, for example, causing any damage) the client may be excluded from the tour and Yearning Travels Inc shall cease to have responsibility to/for them as above. No refund will be given for any unused services. When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be made direct to the accommodation owner or manager or other supplier or to us as soon as costs are known. If you have any medical condition or disability which may affect your active participation in your tour or the tour arrangements of any other person or have any special requirements as a result of any medical condition or disability, please tell us before you confirm your booking so that we can assist you in considering the suitability of the proposed tour. You must give us full details at the time of booking and whenever any change in the condition or disability occurs. You must also promptly advise us if any medical condition or disability which may affect your active participation in the tour develops after your booking has been confirmed.
  • Force Majeure Except where otherwise expressly stated in these conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our contract with you is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any injury, damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of “force Majeure”. In these conditions, “force Majeure” means any event which Yearning Travels Inc or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include actual or threatened war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, disease, fire and all similar events outside our control.
  • Changes to travel services: Yearning Travels Inc reserves the right to change any of the facilities, accommodations or services when deemed necessary. If Yearning Travels Inc is required to make a major change the client will be informed as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before departure. It is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or event or any other unpredictable or unforeseeable circumstances.
  • Responsibilities: Yearning Travels Inc act only as agent and/or intermediary for the independent suppliers and other contractors providing transportation, accommodations and other travel related services. Yearning Travels Inc assumes no responsibility or liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident with any services resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, strikes, war declared or undeclared, government regulation, thefts, failure of any means discrepancies or change over which we have no control. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made when necessary for the comfort and safety of the tour participants. Any extra cost in such cases is the responsibility of the tour participants. The transportation companies are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their vehicles. The operator shall not be responsible for any delays, substitutions of equipment or any act or omission whatsoever by the carrier, its agents, servants and employees, and the participant waives any claim arising there from. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all programs, should conditions warrant, and also to decline or retain any passenger(s) as members of the program. In such instances, full equitable amount(s) will be refunded. The right of the participant is reserved to claims against the suppliers. All claims against suppliers must be filed within 30 days after the tour completion. Yearning Travels Inc, hereby advise that, in the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or well being of the passengers, or for any reason whatsoever to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alteration(s) may be made without penalty to the operator(s). Additional expenses, if any, shall be born by the client. Conversely, a refund will be made to the client, if any saving is (are) affected. There may be different living standards, practices and conditions, and different standards in respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodations you may encounter outside Canada. Information on relevant laws, customs and documentation can be obtained through tourist offices, consulates and at www.voyage.gc.ca.Through your payment to us for these travel services, you are acknowledging your acceptance to our terms set forth in this notice.
